At Gloucester Assizes, which commenced on Monday, the following prisoners have been found guilty ; … James Crow, for breaking open and robbing the house of Arthur Roberts, at Oldland, in the parish of Bitton ; Samuel Stone, Rogers, and William Skull, for receiving sundry articles from Roberts,  knowing them to be stolen;  Oxford University and City Herald, 24 Aug 1816. Samuel Rogers and William Skull for receiving silver watch, knowing been stolen from the dwelling house of A. Roberts, 14 years transportation Bath Journal, 26 Aug 1816.
