It may have been this Thomas (Small) who married Jane (Chapman) in 1832 at Hobart Town. She was a convict Life who arrived Hobart Town 1832 on SIR CHARLES FORBES. she has an entry on this website.

Prison Hulk ship Justitia moored at Woolwich, received 6 April 1824, aged 18 from Durham, Offence: Privately Stealing Shoes out of a Shop, Transferred 25 June 1824 (probably with Cassop Spence - same offence, same trial, same ship)
