Ann Smith was 40 years old on arrival in NSW. Her crime is unknown. October 1814: Transferred per the 'Kangaroo' to Hobart Town. 1816: Gave birth to Elizabeth Sarah Smith - father was Thomas Anglim (Providence 1810) with whom Ann had a life long relationship, but never married. Elizabeth was known as Elizabeth Anglim. Ann was 5'1 1/2" tll, grey hair and eyes. Ann had been assigned to Mrs Gordon at Pittwater. In 1817 when Thomas got his COF her employed Ann as his assigned servant in Pittwater/Sorell. 1821: Free Certificate. 6/7/1835: Ann was sentenced to 12 months at the Female Factory for stealing from the person. No death date found for Ann (too many Ann Smiths to be sure it was her).
