10/3/1842 Wiltshire Independent Wiltshire, England: THE MURDER AT BOX THE MURDER BOX. Isaac Smith was indicted for the wilful murder of Anne Little, at Box. Isaac had been living with Anne Little, they were drunk and quarrelled and he beat and kicked her. She died of the injuries. Isaac had a son Frank Smith 12 years old, and William Smith 15. There was also a baby, which was presumably the daughter of Isaac. Isaac Smith was disembarked at Norfolk Island. 30/8/1846: To VDL. Isaac was then described as being 42 years old, 5'7" tall, sallow complexion, brown to grey hair, no whiskers, hazel eyes, protestant, illiterate, scar on right side nose, scar on breast, ??? left arm, scar calf left leg. 6/9/1853: TOL 2/1/1855: Recommended for a CP 18/??/1855: CP approved. 3/6/1875: Isaac Smith died at the Brickfields Pauper Establishment of Senilis. Listed as a Quarryman, born England. Buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery, Hobart.
