Seven years transportation .... — Martha Smith, for breaking open and robbing the house of Wm. Haves, at Chippenham — Salisbury and Wiltshire Journal, 19 Mar 1827. -------------------------------------------------- Martha Smith, convicted at the last Wilts Lent Assizes of house-breaking at Chippenham, and sentenced to 7 years transportation, was removed last Wednesday on board the ship Louisa lying at Woolwich, to be removed to New South Wales. Salisbury and Wiltshire Journal, 20 Aug 1827.
