Hertfordshire Assizes. James Sanders, Philip Smith, Henry Knightley, John Walls, and John Warren, for burglary; Thomas Kirk alias Johnson, for stealing in a dwelling-house; Joseph Dollimore and Joseph Newman, for sheepstealing ; and Thomas Flint, for highway robbery, were capitally convicted and received sentence of death, but were all reprieved.
