Digitised Indent of Ship Atlantic. Samuel Smith, alias Thomas Hicks, tried at Dorchester, 30 July 1789, 7 years. --------------------------------------------------------------- At Dorchester assizes, Samuel Smith, for breaking open a portmanteau, the property of his master, Geo. Watkins, esq; and stealing a pair of boots, and several pair of silk stockings, was sentenced to be transported for seven years. Bath Chronicle, 6 Aug 1789.
