It may be this Thomas (Smith) who married Ann (Wise/Colpitts) her third (3of4) marrige) on 25/9 9 1791 at St Johns CofE Parramatta & produced 3children. & Noted: [a Thomas (Smith) (from SCARBORUGH) was sent to Norfolk Island, arriving on 13 10 1788, & had a relationship with Catherine (Kiernan), He was recorded as a convict labourer in February 1805 on Norfolk Island. He seems to have left Norfolk Island on 26 12 1807 on HMS PORPOISE as part of the first evacuation (for which volunteers apparantly had been called with appropriate compensation offerred) & arrived at Derwent Tasmania on 17 1 1808. [Noted another Thomas (Smith) from SCARBOROUGH) arrived on Norfolk Island on 6 3 1788-with no further details.] Catherine (Mckearnan/Kearnan) became a dairymaid. She was tried at Kings co.Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 2 1796 after a voyage of 6months on MARQUIS CORNWALLIS. She was sent to Norfolk Island arriving on 13 3 1796. She left Norfolk Island, perhaps with son Thomas, as part of the first evacuation on 14 2 1808 on HMS LADY NELSON to Derwent Tasmania, arriving on 1 3 1808. She established her own dairy. She died in 1830. [Some details taken from this Website. Catherine (Kiernan) does not have an entry on this Website as yet] Thomas (Smith) & Catherine (Kiernan/Kearney) produced 2children: 1.William (Smith) was born on 1 1 1798 on Norfolk Island & baptised on 6 1 1805 age7+ w/Thomas. He became a grazier & horse breeder. He died on 31 5 1870 age71. ..Noted a William (Smith) had a relationship with Elizabeth (???) & produced 2children: ..1.Mary Ann (Smith) was born on 24 1 1819sic & baptised on 18 4 1819sic at St Phillips CofE Sydney-as shown in Smees records. ..2.Mary (Smith) was born on 14 11 1819sic & baptised on 28 11 1819sic at St Phillips CofE Sydney-as shown in Smees records. .. 2.Thomas (Smith) was born on 24 12 1799 on Norfolk Island & baptised on 6 1 1805 age5+ w/William.
