GLOUCESTER ASSIZES, Sept 1. W. Smith was capitally convicted of horse-stealing;... When the Judge was proceeding to sentence of death, the horror of the immense multitude of spectators was most visible, and could not repressed. His Lordship intimated that he might expect some mitigation. Englishman, 6 Sep 1818.
