Dorset County Chronicle Dorset, England 24 Jul 1834 WILTSHIRE Charles Snook, guilty of burglary in the house of Richard Moxham, of Purton ; death recorded. Charles Snook was listed as 23 years old on arrival. Place of Birth: Southampton. Charles was literate, protestant, a widower, 5'5¾" tall, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, blue eyes, brown mole inside joint right arm, slightly pockpitted. Mother: Harriet at native place. Brothers: John, George. Sisters: Eliza, Jane, Harriet, Maria. 1835 Muster: Assigned to Dr. Scott. 5/3/1844: TOL 30/11/1845: Permission to marry Mary Medlicot (Emma Eugenia 1844) No registration found. 8/10/1847: CP 14/11/1856 The Argus, Melbourne, Vic: I HEREBY caution all persons against giving credit to my wife, Mary Snooks, as she has left her home without my consent, or any provocation being given. Charles Snooks. Deep Creek, Nov. 12th 1856. May have married Mary Medlicot - No registration found in VDL or Victoria - also no children listed. 25/11/1886: Charles Snook died at the Yarra Bend Asylum, Clifton Hill, Victoria., from Softening of the brains - buried on 27/11/1886 at the Melbourne Cemetery - listed as married.
