He was tried for larceny at Surrey Assizes, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 2 1792 after a voyage of 8.5months on PITT; much fever & attempts to escape from the ship resulted in deaths of convicts-of the 450convicts on board only 29 were alive at muster in May 1792 (or perhaps only this many could be mustered). He had a relationship with Sarah (Darke/Dart) whom he married on 21 3 1812 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He was free by Servitude by 1806. He died in 1833 age62 & was buried at St Johns CofE Parramatta with his wife. She was free by Servitude by 1806. She died on 14 7 1828 age50/1.
