Trial London 21/4/1828, no former convictions; five feet three inches; dark ruddy complexion assigned Mr Macarthur. Picked pocketsof handkerchiefs at a fundraiseing appeal for the victims of a collaps of a newly opened theatre. Ticket of Leave 1847 and conditional Pardon 1848. Turnkey at East Maitland gaol when he married Sarah. Also a storekeeper.
