Keefe, Kent St, Sydney. --------------------------------------------------- The index also lists Patrick Keefe and his wife: Patrick Keefe, age 27, F.S. Mary, 1819, 7 years, catholic, Labourer, Kent St Sydney. Margt. Keefe, age 25, G.S. per Woodman, 1823, 7 years, catholic. It looks as though Thomas was a lodger with the Keefes. -------------------------------------------------- Permission to Marry. Thomas Soulsbury, per Minstrel, age 33, 7 years, Free; and Charlotte Camp, per Burrell, age 22, 7 years, Bond. Request made at Port Macquarie, 27 Oct 1836, by Revd. J. Cross. NSW Convict Index. Bedfordshire Gaol register shows that Thomas Solesbury was "Fully committed for Trial on 17th AUgust (1824) for stealing in a Dwelling House". On his certificate of freedom his crime is recorded as "stealing from a boy"




The wife of Thomas Soulsbury was Charlotte Camp. She was also convicted, and transported to Australia on the convict ship "Burrell" departing from England in 1832. She received her Certificate of Freedom on May 1st, 1843. Thomas Soulsbury received his Certificate of Freedom on July 11, 1833.
