MONDAY.__Charles Cowley and Charles Spackman were indicted, that they being armed with a bludgeon did assault Richard Andrews and rob him of a watch and many other articles, his property. Charles Spackman was born C1824 - native place: Lamburn, Berkshire. Father: Charles, Ag Lab. Mother: Elizabeth Blunsdon. Brother: William, Peter Sisters: Martha, Mary Ann. Charles was 5'3½" tall, fresh compleion, blue eyes, sandy hair, CS below left elbow. 11/3/1850: Married Alice Milner/Moylan, (Waverley 1847) Hobart. Children: 14/2/1851: Charles Speckman, born Hobart. Died 30/6/1851 of Hydrociphalus. 15/11/1852: Sarah Arin Spackman, born Launceston, died 16/1/1854, registered at Hobart. Charles was a Sawyer at Cataract Hill. 19/6/1854: Francis SPICKMAN - registered Hobart. 3/4/1856, 8/7/1857: Francis aged 1yr and 8mths - admitted to the Queens Orpahan School, mother in gaol. Discharged 7/11/1856 to his parents, was readmitted, then to Male School, then discharged again 11/2/1863. 1857: Jessie SPERKMAN born Brickfields Nursery, Alice serving time in Cascades Female Factory for Stealing. 19/6/1860: Jessie (listed as Elizabeth) also admitted to the Queens Orphan School, aged 3yrs and 2mths, discharged to the Female School 30/11/1863. 4/3/1862: Charles unable to be found - TOL revoked. Sept. 1861: Alice is AWOL - TOL revoked.
