Family connections for Thomas (Sparkes) are: SPARKES/PARKS Thomas (Sparkes) arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a journey of 8months on Fleet ship SALAMANDER. He was Free by Servitude by 1808 & had a relationship with Susannah (Williams). Thomas (Sparkes) does not have an entry on this Website as yet-added by me. Susannah (Williams) was born about 1781. She was tried at Middlesex Gaol Delivery on 14 1 1801, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 12 1801 after a journey of 6months on Fleet ship NILE/CANADA/MINORCA. She was Free by Servitude by 1813. [Some details taken from this Website] Thomas (Sparkes/Parks) & Susannah (Williams) produced 5children: boys 1.Thomas (Sparkes) was born on 10 7 1808 & baptised on 25 9 1808 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. 2.Peter (Sparkes) was born in 1809. 3.Peter (Sparkes/Parks) was born on 7 5 1811 & baptised on 18 4 1813 age23m at St Phillips CofE Sydney. 4.John (Sparkes/Parks) was born on 3 8 1814 & baptised on 26 3 1815 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. 5.George (Sparkes/Parks) was born on 3 3 1817 & baptised on 10 5 1819 age14m at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He died on 16 5 1819 age2 & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney. Noted a William (Sparke) was born about 1804. He became a butcher. He married Mary Ann (Holt) on 19 11 1828 at St James CofE Sydney.
