22/11/1834 Yorkshire Gazette North Yorkshire, England: LOCAL INTELLIGENCE Joseph Sparling for breaking into the dwellinghouse of Robert Atkinson. 4/8/1836 Sydney Gazette: Joseph Sparling stood indicted for robbing on the highway one Thomas Keegan, on the New Town Road. Prisoner persisted in pleading guilty, sentence of death was ordered to be recorded.__Prisoner was then recommended to mercy. 1844: Stole a great-coat - 12 months in an iron gang. 1847: TOL Parramatta.
