At Boston borough sessions yesterday, John Sparrow was convicted of stealing quantity of horse harness, the property of Mr. Thos. Burnett, farmer, of Boston Fast, and was sentenced to transported for seven years— Stamford Mercury, 28 Oct 1831. Boston Sessions. John Sparrow, a notorious old thief, was convicted of stealing a quantity of harness, the property of Mr. Thomas Burnett, of Boston Fast, on the 19th of September last, and sentenced to be transported for seven years. Drakard’s Stamford News, 4 Nov 1831.  On Sunday last,  following convicts were removed from Lincoln castle to the Retribution hulk, lying off Chatham, in the river Medway: viz., Richard Stanwell, John Edgoose, Jas. Wilde, Thomas Haw, Wm. Nowland, Win. Cammack, John Hewitt, and John Sparrow, for seven years each ; and John Rogerson, for life. Stamford Mercury, 11 Nov 1831.  BOSTON BOROUGH SESSlONS—concluded. ... Further process was awarded against Thomas Sparrow (son of John Sparrow, a convict,) charged with felony. Burnett, and John Wing, for stealing 161b. of sugar  from Mrs. Hodgson, grocer, both having been before convicted of felonies, were severally sentenced  to be transported for seven years; ...
