James Spencer was transported to Australia per the 'Fanny' 1815 then on to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Emu'. 15 Dec 1818: Neglect of duty and absent without papers. 50 lashes. 9 Aug 1819: Steal a duck. Work one month for Govt. in his own time and to be confined at night.
