The grave site of convict James, in the Cootamundra/Stockinbingal area), as far as I know, is unknown. His wife's headstone (Ann Hurley) is well preserved in the Catholic section of Yass cemetery. Would love to share research information: stephenspeering@gmail.com

Sent to work on a farm near Windsor. Certificate of freedom granted in 1829, served for a short time as a policeman. Married Ann Hurley in Sydney, moved to Yass as a farmer, later lived in the Cootamundra area where he died (Stockinbingal)aged 93.
