John Spokes was charged with braking into the open Mill of Thomas Pearman at Mapledurham and stealing there out 1 shirt, 1 silk handkerchief, 2 pen knives, a quantity of flour &c his Property. Sentenced at Oxford Assizes 28.7.1824, 7 years arriving Royal Charlotte 29.4.1825. TOL. 31.8.1830 COF. 28.2.1830 indented to William Freeman Port Macquarie, Rolland Plains and there he had an affair with an Aboriginal woman and they had a child called Fanny Spokes born 1.4.1834 Rolland Plains she later married William Lovelock in 1858 "Clarefield Farm"
