5/4/1839 Coventry Standard Warwickshire, England: COVENTRY POLICE OFFICE Joseph Blackham and Thomas Steadman, for stealing two lambs at Aston, belonging to D. Harvey. Joseph Blackham arrived per 'Maitland 1840'. Thomas Steadman was 25 years old on arrival - Native Place: Worcestershire. Thomas could read, was protestant, single, 5'7ΒΌ" tall, ruddy freckled and pockpitted complexion, red hair, hazel eyes, eyebrows partially meeting, scar on right eyebrow, mole under right eye, another on right cheek, and one on right side of upper lip, scar below left elbow, scar on knuckle of left thumb, another back of middle and little fingers of left and, mark of a burn outside right leg. 16/12/1840: Convict Death Register - listed as STEEDMAN - Thomas died and the General Hospital, Sydney.
