Convict Notes
Stephen Kenfield was 31 years old when convicted at the Old Bailey on 7/5/1849, along with Sarah Edser of stealing 1 shawl, value 1s., and 2 pieces of patchwork, value 9d., the goods of Sarah Tighe. Edser sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. Stephen was also charged on the 26/2/1849 of stealing 1 housing, value 2s., the goods of William Walker - not guilty. Another conviction on 3/7/1844 (not listed at the Old Bailey) was read out by the arresting constable, with a sentence of 7 years transportation. He also stated that Kenfield had been in court 7 times before. Stephen was single, 42 years old, 5'5" tall, dark hair, light blue eyes, sallow complexion, slight build, imitation of a butterfly on left arm and scar on forehead. 29/8/1854: TOL September 1859: Expiree. 5/1/1872: Stephen died aged 59.
