Elizabeth Jane Stephens, alias Mary Ann Jefferies aged 20 a spinster, stood charged with stealing from the person of Thomas Henry Knott 7/ in silver and a leather cigar case. Source : 4 January 1849 • Worcester Journal

Elizabeth Jane Stephens was listed as 22 years old on arrival in VDL..She was born in Keevill, Wiltshire, and was transported for 'stealing money from an unknown person in Worcester'. Elizabeth was 5'3" tall, reads, sandy brown hair, grey eyes, 2 years on the town. 3/6/1850: Married Henry Lodge (Eden 1842) at St. Peters, Hamilton - both aged 23 - 10 children. 25/7/1854: CP 13/10/1873: Elizabeth died as 'Mary Jane Lodge' at Morven - died of Phthisis (TB). Henry Lodge remarried 23/2/1875 to Caroline Vines, 26, and went on to have another 8 children - Henry died 2/11/1897.
