CIRCUIT INTELLIGENCE John Stewart, accused of abstracting from a chest of drawers, in the house of John Scott, Bridge Lane, Perth, where lie lodged, two guineanotes, and several articles of wearing apparel, the property of a gentleman who lodged in the same house. The prisoner absconded but was apprehended soon after in Glasgow. He pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to seven years transportation. Caledonian Mercury, 20 April 1818.
