Mother was Elizabeth Rawlence, born in 1745 Beaulieu, Hampshire. She married Solomon Strickland 11 Dec 1769 in Beaulieu, Hampshire.

12/3/1810 Hampshire Chronicle Hampshire, England: HAMPSHIRE LENT ASSIZES Solomon Strickland, aged 33, and Jasper Strickland, aged 38, for feloniously stealing one lamb, at the parish of Beaulieu, the of Balthazar Adams, and Edward Adams, Esqrs. Solomon was also on board. Colonial Secretary Papers: STRICKLAND, Jasper. Per "Admiral Gambier", 1811 1817 Nov 24: Servant to William Faithfull of Richmond. Petition for mitigation of sentence (Fiche 3181; 4/1853 p.327) 1824 Aug 7, Sep 4: Affidavit re loss of his ticket of leave, entrusted to Thomas Mason of Richmond, by fire (Reel 6027; 4/1716.1 pp.131-3) 16/9/1824: TOL, Richmond. Jasper was then described as: 5'5" tall, dark sallow complexion, black to grey hair, black eyes. 1830: Jasper died, aged 61 - NSW BDM. Going by the info on Ancestry he would have been 57.
