1826 - New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, Tasmania. 1826 No; 439 Name; Henry Strong Ship arrived by; Prince of Orange To whom assigned/Occupation; ABSCONDED; 15 Dec 1825 Colonial Times and Tasmanian Advertiser. Fri 17 Nov 1826. Page 3. DREADFUL MURDERS. Henry Strong, Michael Brown, George Ellis, William Hoadley, and William Birt, were on Wednesday tried for a robbery in the house of Mr. Reid, at the Macquarie River.-The case was quite of the usual description, and the Jury found them-Guilty. Colonial Times and Tasmanian Advertiser. Fri 12 Jan 1827. Page 4. Executions. On the following morning (Tuesday), the remaining six, who were left to suffer, underwent the same sentence.
