John STYLING was baptised at St James Church, Bristol, England, on 25 Dec 1808, son of John and Jane STYLING . His occupations were Shoemaker and Stableman. He was convicted of larceny in 1827 and sentenced to 1 month and whipping in Gloucester Gaol. In 1830 he was again convicted of larceny and sentenced to 12 months gaol. He was on the Prison Hulk, "Justitia" in Bristol before departing for a life sentence in Australia in 1834. John was pardoned 15 Feb 1849.
