Description - New South Wales, Australia, Gaol Description and Entrance Books, 1818-1930 5ft, ruddy and freckled complexion, with brown hair and grey eyes, thick nose, lost part of her upper font tooth and has a scar on her left forefinger.




Her maiden name is Brett




According to the permission to marry John Hancock records.. her name is Ellen Sullivan but on her daughter Matilda's marriage certificate it is Ellen Brett. Brett is her maiden name. She was a widow when she married John Hancock.
