Tralee Assizes. In the other capital case of Owen Sullivan’s conviction, for horse stealing, it was proved that the horse was stolen from John Shea, and Denis Mullane, proved that he was present when the prisoner, Owen Sullivan, sold the horse to Mr. Glover of the County of Cork, and said his name was Shea. The horse was found in Mr. Glover’s possession. Southern Reporter, 23 August 1827. The Lord Lieutenant has been pleased to respite, watil further orders, Daniel Linehan, convicted of rape, and Owen Sullivan, found guilty of horse-stealing, both under sentence of death at Kerry Assizes. Limerick Chronicle, 8 Sep 1827.
