Thomas was tried at the Old Bailey. (online) THOMAS SULLIVAN, Theft - grand larceny, 19th February 1817. 529. THOMAS SULLIVAN was indicted for stealing, on the 21st of February , one firkin, value 1s., and 56lbs of butter, value 2l. , the goods of George Jones . GRORGE JONES. I am a cheesemonger , living in Whitecross-street . On he 21st of February, I missed my butter from the side of my door. Some person directed me the wrong way. My boy got the firkin, and told me which way the prisoner was gone. I found him in a privy in Chequer-alley. JAMES SUMMERS . I saw the prisoner run down the alley with the butter; he tried to get over a wall. I am sure the prisoner is the man. JAMES NEWMAN . I was in the alley, and saw the prisoner drop the butter. I am sure the prisoner is the man. (Property produced and sworn to.) GUILTY . Aged 21. Transported for Seven Years . First Middlesex Jury, before Mr. Common Sergeant. PUBLIC NOTICE.
