James Sutton, 23, was convicted of stealing quantity of sheets, blankets, cloaks, coats, and other articles, to the value of £8. the  property of Mr. Christopher Buckle. The chairman finding that he had been convicted in the last July sessions, and that on his being liberated October, he had received a printed copy of the clause in Air. Peel's act, by which a party committing a second offence is rendered liable to transportation for life, sentenced him to seven years' transportation.
