Marsden ------------------------------- The Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser (NSW : 1803 - 1842) Sat 6 Mar 1813 Page 2 Sydney. An atrocious murder was last night perpetrated between 9 and 10 o'clock at Parramatta, upon Joseph Sutton, former-ly a Stockman to Government, who was shot dead near the fence of Mr. Edmund Wright, in George-street. Every effort has been made by the Resident Magistrate, and Police of the place, to discover the perpetrator, whose escape from justice would be lamentable, as the unseen assasin is above all others the most dangerous, as well the most treacherous, vile, and cowardly of assailants. On the part of Government, we are assured, that every possible means will be exerted to discover the offender; which is earnestly to be hoped will speedily be accomplished. ----------------------------- The Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser (NSW : 1803 - 1842) Sat 27 Mar 1813 Page 2 TRIAL FOR The MURDER of JOSEPH SUTTON.
