Henry Wellesley Medical Journal Case No; 9. Fever. 24 November 1835. At sea. Aged; 47 years old. Convict. Remarks; "to appearance as been accustomed to drink spirits, acts here as cook, on the 22nd was bled & took some salts for headache, she complains today of griping and Purging and says she has had diarrhea since she has been in the ship [2 months] .... DIED

Hannah SWAYNE was convicted at Dorset, England and received a 7 yr transportation sentence. Sent to New South Wales, Australia per the 'Henry Wellesley' 1835/36. Hannah was aged 47yrs. Died, from a fever, during the voyage - on 2 Dec 1835. (ref. Ship surgeon's journal)
