William Sweetman was 21 years old on arrival in VDL - he was 5'5" tall, florid complexion, brown hair, light hazel grey eyes, single. 1832-33 Musters: Assigned to Lieut. Skanden. 23/12/1834: Absconded - 2 years imprisonment with Hard Labour. 10/2/1835: Died (According to the Founders & Survivors website). His conduct record continued:- 15/7/1835: He was on the Hulk Chain Gang. 3/3/1842: TOL 16/6/1843: Living in a state of adultery - 2 months Hard Labour. TOL suspended and must not live in the Oatlands district. 21/10/1845: Recommended for a CP 31/10/1846: CP approved. Have not found anything further. A 2nd William Sweetman (convict) arrived VDL per 'Anson' in 1843 - most references in the papers refer to him.
