Convict Notes
She was convicted for 7 years. She married convict Richard Kittoth Carkett on 24/6/1811 at St Johns C of E, Parramatta. Her name is also recorded as Simons, & Simmon. This was his second wife, the first Susanna Yabbercombe Day, & 3 children, Richard b. 1797, James b 1799 & Joseph b 1801, being left behind in Devon, England. Richard & Eliz had 2 children shown in 1828 [?] Census; a son & daughter. The daughter was Maria Carkeet, who married Edwin Wheeler, in Fitzroy, Melbourne, in 1855. The son was probably John Carket, who died in Victoria.
