The Warrants of the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland indicate that this convict had a middle name (Sullivan) and subsequent records seem to back this up. Have amended name to include the middle name Sullivan.




The Indentures state that Daniel Tardy (alias Patterson) was 35 years old. He could read only; Religion Catholic: status single and a native of County Kerry. His occupation was a labourer and groom. He was convict of Cow stealing on 24 March 1828 in Kerry and sentenced to 7 years. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 10 1/2 inches; complexion ruddy; hair brown and eyes grey. Transport number 181. Assigned on arrival to Mr Thomas Cooper, Cow Pastures.
