Status; Widow 1832 - Tasmania Female Convict Musters No; 40 Name; Ellen Tarrant Ship; Persian Assigned; MARRIED; to John Dunlop 1837 - Conditional Pardon; No; 1244. 10 January 1837




ADM 101/58/7 1827 Medical and surgical journal of the Persian convict ship for 11 April to 10 August 1827 by James Patten MD, Surgeon and Superintendent, during which time the said ship was employed in transporting female convicts from England to Van Diemen's Land. ADM 101/58/7/1 Folios 6-7: Ellen Tarrant, aged 25, Convict; disease or hurt, pain in the right hypochondrium, increased on pressure and shoots to the lip of the shoulder, also a sense of heaviness in the side. Put on sick list, 30 April 1827. Last date of treatment, 1 May 1827. From the symptoms and her complexion the Surgeon suspects a chronic enlargement of the liver.
