this rather sadly was my great great granddad he left 3 kids in poverty and owe'd the work house for there keep he also had another wife and 3 kids kept decent before he was arrested and deported on convict ship

Thomas Tattersdale Convict, Bushranger and Murderer. Name: Thomas Tattersdale Alias: Tattershall Native Place: Holbeach, Richmond, Yorks Age: 20 Crime: entering the shop of Mr Henly, a draper of Holbeach and stealing a quantity of silk handkerchiefs. Place of Crime: Holbeach Court: Assize Trial Date: 3 Mar 1832 Sentence: death, commuted to 14 years transport Ship: Asia Destination: NSW Transport Date: 1833 Remarks: convicted with Charles Hudson, suffered from the itch in goal. Thomas Tattersdale absconded and joined up with 2 others, John Jenkins and Emanuel Brace. They committed a number of violent robberies under arms and were confronted while living in bush humpies by Dr Robert Wardell, Dr Wardell was promptly murdered by John Jenkins. All three were captured less than a week later, Emanuel Brace turned witness and Thomas Tattersdale and John Jenkins were tried on the 7 Nov 1834 for murder.
