Elizabeth Taylor arrived in Hobart Town on the ship Providence in 18 Dec 1821, Elizabeth was assigned to a Mr George Meredith esq soon after her arrival. Elizabeth married John Williams a sailor and whaler on the 29 Oct 1823 at St Davids Church Hobart. John Williams drowned as the result of a whaling accident in the Derwent River in May 1830 he was a herdsman working for Mawle and Co. Elizabeth and John Williams had 5 children Elizabeth was granted a pardon on the 24 Feb 1832mand it was extended to the Australian Colonies on the 22 Sept 1846. Elizabeth sailed to Victoria and she died in 1860 at Broadford Vic where she was living with her son William
