Joseph Taylor was transported for 'Stealing Boots and Shoes from my master'. Joseph was 5'4 1/4" tall, dark complexion, grey hair, brown whiskers, grey eyes. Born at Paisley. Married with 7 children, wife Mary at Hackney Road. 1835 Muster: Assigned to Mr. W. Sherwin. 10/7/1838: TOL 1840: Free Certificate. 30/4/1858: Joseph died of Dropsy, aged 76 at Liverpool Street, Hobart. (Born in Scotland.)
