Thomas TAYLOR was convicted at Lancaster, England 19 July 1815. 7 yr transportation sentence. Sent to New South Wales, Australia per the ship 'Fame' 1816. Transfered to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Pilot' 1817. Thomas served time in Van Diemen's Land. July 1824 charged, with along with Luke Fowler and John Clayton with the murder of John Street. All found guilty, and received death sentence. Clayton however received a reprieve. Thomas Taylor executed at Launceston on 6 Sept 1824. (ref. Convict Conduct Record & Hobart Town Gazette 24 Sept 1824. Death/Buriel registration 34/1/1 no. 904 1824)
