Joseph Tebbutt was 31 years old when convicted of stealing from the dwelling house (which was a Public House) of Henry Asher at St Bartholomew the Great. Stealing various articles, value £20-30, along with John Coverdale, age 28 (Augusta Jessie 1834 to VDL). 21/1/1839: Tried at Sydney for stealing a pair of trousers. 1839: Sent to Norfolk Island, and spent 5 years and 9 months there. 27/9/1844: Arrived VDL per Lady Franklin from Norfolk Island. Joseph was then: 45 years old, 5'5" tall, ruddy complexion, brown hair and whiskers, blue eyes, large nose, can read and write. Native place was Northampton and he was married with 4 children. 15/10/1845: Emerged from gang. 124/3/1846: TOL 15/10/1850: CP No death date found.
