National Records of Scotland Precognition against Elizabeth Tennent for the crime of theft by housebreaking. Dates 1849 Accused Elizabeth Tennent, stepdaughter of Sally McLusky, Age: 19, servant, Address: Antrim, Ireland, with stepmother, Origin: Native of Rutherglen, Lanarkshire. Elizabeth also had brothers: James John Andrew Sandy William and possibly more. Elizabeth Tennent was listed as 20 years old on arrival in VDL - She was 5'3½" tall, ruddy complexion, dark brown hair, blue eyes. Native Place: Glasgow. 12/3/1852: Delivered of an illigitimate child, Mary, at the Factory Hospital - Mary died 17/3/1853, 27/9/1853: TOL - not to reside in Hobart. 6/1/1854: Permission to marry Thomas Douglas. (have not found a ship - stated that he was born C1820). 1/2/1854: Married Thomas Douglas, a shepherd, aged 34 - Elizabeth was 24, a spinster. Children: 27/2/1857: George Douglas - died 1858 Oatlands. Found further births in Victoria - there were also immigrants Thomas and Elizabeth Douglas who arrived Vic C1855's, cannot be sure who's children they were. 1862: Alfred, born in Victoria 1864: Jane, born in Victoria - died 1864. 1866: Maria, born in Victoria 26/9/1856: Free Certificate - Oatlands. Arrived in Victoria after 1858 - no deaths dates found, Thomas was reportedly living at Talbot in Victoria.
