The father, John Terry was transported on the Camden, which departed September 1832. He died on the voyage, 20 January 1833.




Evesham Sessions. At these Sessions, last week, five females were tried for felony and misdemeanour, a circumstance unprecedented at the Borough Sessions : —Ann Terry was indicted for stealing from her master, John Thomas, draper, of Evesham, sundry articles, consisting of ribbons, gloves, net, lawn, and cotton goods. John and Elizabeth Terry (her father and mother), and Sarah Terry (her sister), were indicted for feloniously receiving the same. The father was acquitted, and the three females were found guilty. Sarah Terry was again indicted, for stealing from her master, John Gilbert Cheek, Esq. two pair of sheets, two napkins, a bag of East India sugar, a piece of India muslin, ten hooks, a silver knife, silver pencil case, and other articles. John and Elizabeth Terry were charged with feloniously receiving the same. On which indictment the prisoners were all found guilty, and sentenced, together with Ann Terry, transportation for seven years. Cheltenham Chronicle, 3 Nov 1831.
