Arrived Tasmania 1845. Worked for a settler and gained botanical knowledge. Remarried another convict, had children and moved to Sydney, becoming a herbalist, living in Birchgrove. Convicted of illegal abortion of a female, sentenced to 7 years hard labour at Berrimah, Parramatta and Suva. Arrived back in Sydney and died 3-4 months later in 1877.
