7/3/1803: Hampshire Chronicle Hampshire, England WINCHESTER, ??Christopher Thomas, for breaking away from the Captivity hulk, where he was under sentence of transportation. Christopher was serving his sentence on the Hulks - original crime not found. Christopher Thomas was then transported for life for being at large before the term was expired for which he was to be transported. 27/1/1805 Sydney Gazette: Christopher Thomas, on a charge of repeated insolence to his master, refusing to obey his orders, and repeated neglect of work, was punished with 50 lashes on Tuesday, and ordered to be returned to his service, and to labour in irons, until by the amendment of his conduct he should be released. 8/2/1812 Sydney Gazette: CLAIMS AND DEMANDS. THE following Persons bring about to depart the Colony, request all Claims and Demands against them to be presented to - themselves for Payment : In the Schooner Unity, John Powell, George Wenna, Nathaniel Haskath, James M'Guire, Christopher Thomas, Elizabeth Standley; The Unity then departed for VDL - found no records of Christopher there and nothing further in NSW until 1834 when there was another Christopher Thomas per 'Larkins 1829".
