NSW Gov. State Archives Records Convicts Index list him as on the 'Princess Charlotte' as does his hand written death entry in the Convict Deaths book. Ancestry Convict Indents, also list him as on the 'Princess Charlotte' but at the top of the page it says 'Royal Charlotte'. **There was no voyage for the Princess Charlotte that arrived in 1825**. Edward Thomas was convicted at Shrewsbury/Salop assizes on 11/8/1824. Native Place: Stockport. Occupation: Machine maker. Edward was 25 years old, 5'5½" tall, pale pockpitted complexion, brown hair, blueish grey eyes, well. Assigned to Carters Barracks. 28/1/1828: Convict Death Register - Edward Thomas died in the District/Parish of St James, Sydney. Aged 25?? Listed as on the Princess Charlotte 1825.
