Thomas (The Younger) Thomas was transported on the Surrey Or Surry, departing 31st Dec 1813 and arriving 28th Jul 1814 with 204 passengers.

Built at Harwich in 1811 a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons and copper lined she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. In 1818, she had a major refit increasing the decks (and convict carrying capacity) to three. She was owned by the London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles.

PUBLIC NOTICE. — Whereas John Pooleand Thomas Thomas, two Prisoners who arrived in the Ship Surry, having absconded whilst on Liberty at the North Shore; this is to caution the Inhabitants against harbouring, secreting, or maintaining the aforesaid Prisoners, under pain of rigid Prosecution ; and all Constables and others are hereby required to use their utmost Exertions in apprehending and lodging them in safe Custody, Sydney Gazette, 13 Aug 1814.

At Brecon Great Sessions three prisoners were capitally convicted, viz. Thomas Thomas, for horse-stealing, Benjamin Williams, a youth about years of age, for house-breaking, and Meredith Davies, for uttering forged bill of exchange; the latter of whom is left for execution. Hereford Journal, 28 April 1813.
