FOOTNOTE: James Thomson's accomplice - convicted with him at Glasgow for stealing five shirts - was sent to VDL per Jupiter (1833). James Pollock received his Free Certificate in 1840 (see https://convictrecords.com.au/convicts/pollock/james/115401).


1833: On arrival in VDL, he was single, and a weaver. 1834: He was assigned to Mr Roadknight (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-43$init=CON31-1-43p114). 1835: Muster - he was assigned to Mr W Roadknight (see New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849). 1841: Muster - holder of a Ticket of Leave (see New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849). 1845: Holder of a Free Certificate No.411 (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-43$init=CON31-1-43p114).
