1832: On Arrival in VDL, he was single. 1838, 24 July: He received a Ticket of Leave. 1842, 24 May: His Conditional Pardon was approved (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-43$init=CON31-1-43p72).


CRIME: Stealing from the person one handkerchief — he was sentenced to 14 years' transportation and was admitted to the prison hulk Justitia at Woolwich on 20 November 1831. He was sent on 11 February for transportation. George THORNE was 17, according to the hulk record (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).
